    I've learned new useful things because of this seminar, since I am a future IT professional with this seminar, it helps me learn  what are the things I have to do, like after graduation how can I shift from studying to a real world stuff. I learned some useful tips on what to do because of the panel discussions.  The program starts with an opening remarks given by Engr. Reynaldo T.   I’ve learned a lot of valuable things because of the TOPCIT 2024 exam. Although I already had some background knowledge on various related topics—as I am an IT student and have taken several relevant subjects since my first year at Gordon College—this exam still opened my eyes to how broad and detailed the IT field can be. There were plenty of topics that were new to me. Almost half of the topics included in the exam were either not taught in my classes or I was unfamiliar with. I realized I wasn’t knowledgeable enough in certain areas.  The exam consisted of topics from the Technical Field such as Software Development, Data and Database Management, System Architecture, and Information Security. Then there’s the Business Field, which includes IT Business & Ethics, as well as Project Management & Technical Communication. Well I do have some background knowledge about the topics but with this event it introduced me to valuable insights/tools/tips that I can use and apply to my future projects. I learned that because the technology is advancing, I learned that with the use of technology it can make education be more relevant, effective and engaging not just on the general education but specially learners in technical fields like us.   The resource speaker started by explaining the understanding on the TVET products, the example are job placement, career advancement, learning environment and industry connection. Before, I had limited understanding about these concepts, but this session taught me how each model can be effectively utilized in real-world applications. I know now that selecting an appropriate paradigm depends on the specific use cases cloud computing for centralized data storage and edge computing for low latency applications like the IoT devices.   The resource speaker started by defining what is cloud computing, he said that it access to resources over the internet. It’s key characteristics are scalability and cost-effectiveness.
