Mastering Microsoft Access: A Beginner’s Guide to Database Management

Image
I’ve learned new useful things because of this seminar. It gave me a deeper understanding of database management, especially how Microsoft Access can be used both as a frontend and backend tool for building practical systems. I already had some basic knowledge about the topic, but this event introduced me to valuable features, tools, and techniques that I can apply to my future projects. Because of this seminar, I feel more motivated to improve my skills in database development, which is essential for my growth as an IT student and for my future career in tech. Mr. Marvin Gregorio’s topic is entitled “Mastering Microsoft Access: A Beginner’s Guide to Database Management.” He walked us through the process of creating tables, queries, and forms, and how these elements work together to build full applications such as a grading system or a point-of-sale (POS) system. His demonstration was clear, detailed, and hands-on, which helped us visualize how database systems function in real...

I’ve learned new useful things because of this company visit. I already had some background knowledge about Windows Server management, but this visit helped me understand it better, especially seeing how it’s applied in a real company setting. During the demonstration, Mr. Leonardo, the IT Supervisor, walked us through how they use Windows Server 2022 in their operations, which helped refresh what I learned back when we used Windows Server 2019 in Sir Melner class. He used Hyper-V for virtualization instead of VirtualBox, which we used in class, and I saw that both tools function similarly when it comes to creating, configuring, and managing virtual machines. What stood out to me was how important proper server setup is in real company environments—especially when it comes to managing users, organizing data, and ensuring secure network access. Mr. Leonardo also explained how servers play a vital role in keeping business operations smooth. He showed us the importance of assigning ...

International Research Conference on Information Technology Education (IRCITE)

Joining the IRCITE conference was such a great experience for our team. We got the chance to present our capstone research project in front of a panel of experts, which honestly felt nerve-wracking at first, but it turned out to be super helpful. The feedback we received was really insightful, they pointed out things we hadn’t considered and gave suggestions that we can actually use to improve our system. It really made us see the importance of not just knowing our project inside and out, but also being prepared to explain and defend it with confidence. What made the event even more inspiring was seeing the other students’ presentations. Their projects were so creative and diverse, and it pushed us to think bigger and be more innovative. It wasn’t just about showcasing systems — it was also about how they presented. Watching different teams communicate their ideas clearly and with confidence gave us some pointers on how we can level up our own presentation skills in the future....
