Getting Started with Laravel: A Beginner’s Guide

Image
I’ve learned several helpful insights from this seminar, even though I already had some prior experience using Laravel and a general understanding of its MVC architecture. The session served as a valuable refresher on the framework’s core concepts and helped strengthen my grasp of best practices when working with Laravel. The discussion revisited familiar elements like routing, controllers, models, and views, but what stood out to me was the practical emphasis on Laravel’s built-in tools, especially Artisan commands. Learning how to efficiently generate controllers, models, and migrations through Artisan not only saves time but also reinforces the importance of maintaining structured and scalable code. The speaker, Mr. Raymond Paul Vianzon, delivered his topic, “Getting Started with Laravel: A Beginner’s Guide,” in a way that was both clear and engaging. He shared practical examples that highlighted Laravel’s capabilities, from setting up projects to handling database operation...

Mastering Microsoft Access: A Beginner’s Guide to Database Management

Image
I’ve learned new useful things because of this seminar. It gave me a deeper understanding of database management, especially how Microsoft Access can be used both as a frontend and backend tool for building practical systems. I already had some basic knowledge about the topic, but this event introduced me to valuable features, tools, and techniques that I can apply to my future projects. Because of this seminar, I feel more motivated to improve my skills in database development, which is essential for my growth as an IT student and for my future career in tech. Mr. Marvin Gregorio’s topic is entitled “Mastering Microsoft Access: A Beginner’s Guide to Database Management.” He walked us through the process of creating tables, queries, and forms, and how these elements work together to build full applications such as a grading system or a point-of-sale (POS) system. His demonstration was clear, detailed, and hands-on, which helped us visualize how database systems function in real...

TWT GROUP REP INC OFC/RIOT STAFFING

Image
I’ve learned new useful things because of this company visit. I already had some background knowledge about Windows Server management, but this visit helped me understand it better, especially seeing how it’s applied in a real company setting. During the demonstration, Mr. Leonardo, the IT Supervisor, walked us through how they use Windows Server 2022 in their operations, which helped refresh what I learned back when we used Windows Server 2019 in Sir Melner class. He used Hyper-V for virtualization instead of VirtualBox, which we used in class, and I saw that both tools function similarly when it comes to creating, configuring, and managing virtual machines. What stood out to me was how important proper server setup is in real company environments—especially when it comes to managing users, organizing data, and ensuring secure network access. Mr. Leonardo also explained how servers play a vital role in keeping business operations smooth. He showed us the importance of assigning ...

International Research Conference on Information Technology Education (IRCITE)

Image
Joining the IRCITE conference was such a great experience for our team. We got the chance to present our capstone research project in front of a panel of experts, which honestly felt nerve-wracking at first, but it turned out to be super helpful. The feedback we received was really insightful, they pointed out things we hadn’t considered and gave suggestions that we can actually use to improve our system. It really made us see the importance of not just knowing our project inside and out, but also being prepared to explain and defend it with confidence. What made the event even more inspiring was seeing the other students’ presentations. Their projects were so creative and diverse, and it pushed us to think bigger and be more innovative. It wasn’t just about showcasing systems — it was also about how they presented. Watching different teams communicate their ideas clearly and with confidence gave us some pointers on how we can level up our own presentation skills in the future....

Gordon College CCS Tech Fest 2025

Image
I’ve learned a lot of valuable and practical things because of the Tech Fest 2025. It helped me understand more about how large events are organized, and gave me deeper insight into how important collaboration and communication are, especially in the field of IT. I already had some experience with organizing small events, but this experience introduced me to more detailed tasks and responsibilities that I can apply in the future. It inspired me to improve not only my technical knowledge, but also my organizational and soft skills, which are equally important as an IT student and for my future career in the tech industry. During the event, we helped manage materials, set up booths, and assisted with transitions between program segments. These tasks taught me how much planning and teamwork is required to make an event successful. It also showed me the value of having clear communication among team members and stakeholders to make sure everything runs smoothly. I also attended the s...

I’ve learn and had a really fun experience on this event, I’ve learn that growth and success of the person/business are its people and experiences.   Mr. Lloyd also stated that “the best investment you ca make is in yourself”. And that really hits me, making me more motivated to invest in myself, my skills so then after graduation I can sell my skills on my future employers. The Mr. Lloyd Ernst started with giving a little bit background about Cloudstaff, In the year 2022 they had the chief Ai Officer. He also mentioned that Cloudstaff is his third business and mentioned that it is important in that business to focus on its people he mentioned that its people is one of the formula for Cloudstaff.    Mr. Lloyd also gives us the investment we can make, such as “use the tools we give you”, “attend the Ai Courses”, “Ai coffee hour every Thursday”, and “Ask questions”.
