Mastering Microsoft Access: A Beginner’s Guide to Database Management
I’ve learned new useful things because
of this seminar. It gave me a deeper understanding of database management,
especially how Microsoft Access can be used both as a frontend and backend tool
for building practical systems. I already had some basic knowledge about the
topic, but this event introduced me to valuable features, tools, and techniques
that I can apply to my future projects. Because of this seminar, I feel more
motivated to improve my skills in database development, which is essential for
my growth as an IT student and for my future career in tech.
Mr. Marvin Gregorio’s topic is
entitled “Mastering Microsoft Access: A Beginner’s Guide to Database
Management.” He walked us through the process of creating tables, queries, and
forms, and how these elements work together to build full applications such as
a grading system or a point-of-sale (POS) system. His demonstration was clear,
detailed, and hands-on, which helped us visualize how database systems function
in real-world scenarios.
He also showed us how Microsoft Access can be integrated with other Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word, and Outlook. For example, exporting reports from Access to Excel, using Word for mail merge, or sending emails directly through Outlook. I actually had prior experience using Access and Word to generate e-certificates, so seeing this done in a professional way helped me appreciate how versatile and powerful these tools are when used together.
