International Research Conference on Information Technology Education (IRCITE)

Joining the IRCITE conference was such a great experience for our team. We got the chance to present our capstone research project in front of a panel of experts, which honestly felt nerve-wracking at first, but it turned out to be super helpful. The feedback we received was really insightful, they pointed out things we hadn’t considered and gave suggestions that we can actually use to improve our system. It really made us see the importance of not just knowing our project inside and out, but also being prepared to explain and defend it with confidence.

What made the event even more inspiring was seeing the other students’ presentations. Their projects were so creative and diverse, and it pushed us to think bigger and be more innovative. It wasn’t just about showcasing systems — it was also about how they presented. Watching different teams communicate their ideas clearly and with confidence gave us some pointers on how we can level up our own presentation skills in the future.

The panelists also played a big role in making the experience meaningful. Their questions weren’t just random, they really made us think deeper about our work. It made us realize that doing research isn’t just about creating something functional; it’s also about being able to explain the 'why' behind it and showing that you’ve thought everything through.
